Overnight in La Luz Beach Resort

On a June 2007 weekend, our family decided to take the time out and spend the night in La Luz Beach Resort, a white sand beach resort located in San Juan, Batangas, a few hours from Manila.

Going to San Juan, Batangas from Manila, you have to pass at least 2 major highways, namely South Super Highway and Southern Tagalog Arterial Road (STAR) Tollway.

Along the way, you will see the beauty of nature - mountains, greens, bodies of water, etc. Makes you feel more in a vacation mood as you pass by.

Upon arrival in La Luz Beach Resort, chances are, you will come across with these little monkeys.

There are a few of these beachfront cabanas around the resort that are free to use. Makes you want to relax by the seashore. A perfect place to get a massage, an affordable service available to guests.

Spacious accomodations from standard rooms to premiere lofts fits sizes of small groups to families to big groups. One thing though, rooms do not have television because they encourage guest to have bonding and quality time. They have a common television area where you can watch cable TV but you have to fight for what channel to show and they are strict in viewing hours.

I felt a bit tired because of the long drive and once we got settled in our room, I asked for an in-room massage service. For a mere Php 250, you can get a full hour of massage. Be careful though because it seems that a lot of the therapists are still under training. My mom and my eldest brother had a bad experience, and caught fever after. As for me, I got relaxed and ready to get swimming.

Exploring the resort more, I saw beach chairs that are perfect spots to relax, have a chit-chat and possibly meet new friends.

At night, most room has verandas where you can hang-out, talk, be intimate or just lug around.

Activities in the resorts include snorkelling, kayaking, boating, diving, hiking, etc. The possibilities are almost endless!

One thing to take note in La Luz Beach Resort - no bringing of foods and drinks allowed! We were also required to pay for full board accomodation which include meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, with AM and PM snacks) which in the long run may be good for your stay because most establishments outside are far from the resort.

La Luz Beach Resort today is still one of the most popular getaway destination both by families and friends alike because of its beauty, white sand and secluded area.

More pictures are available in multiply. Just add me as a friend to view them.
