After having breakfast this morning, we took a cab to Gate 5 of Expo 2010 site (CNY30).It is weekday (Tuesday) but at 9AM today at the expo, we were was surprised by the hoards of visitors that is already in line before us. The park is to open at 9:30AM, or so we were told. This is the line going to the screening area. They screen all visitors by asking everyone to pass thru a metal detector and inspecting bags.
After a little more than an hour after, we finally made it inside and the first thing we looked for are the benches so we can take a rest. It was only 10:30AM but we feel very exhausted already. I wonder how things are if we go here during weekends? I think we were lucky that last Thursday the line wasn't as bad, or perhaps it is due to timing?
Minutes later and we started going through the pavilions. We didn't have exact agenda as to where to go but we just followed and instinct based on looks of the structure outside (and of course the length of the line outside the pavilion) when we did our visits. Here are some pictures of the pavilions we saw and visited today (national, theme, corporate, international organizations, etc.):
